NEVER SHOULD A DOG OR ANY ANIMAL SUFFER LIKE THIS. EVER!
Thoughts Of A Stray…
Another morning…I stretch my tired body. It was cold and rainy last night. But at least that pine tree gave me a little protection. Still nothing to eat. Let me try a little grass. So many puddles after the rain. I wish the water weren’t so muddy. I wish I had a bowl again, like I did back home. It seems so long ago. I wonder why they threw me out? I must find some food. Hope that man doesn’t chase me away from the dumpster again.
Why does he care if I take what he throws out? I’ll walk a little further today. Maybe I can find a quieter place to rest tonight. It’s so noisy by the roadside. Oh, here comes someone walking their dog! Maybe they’ll let me follow. NO!!! They’re crossing the sreet! Wait for me! Wait for me! It’s early yet, but I’m so tired. I think I’ll try to sleep. So tired. So hungry. So lonely.
“Hey, mom, under that tree! Looks like a dog!,” the little boy said. ” Honey, it looks like this one didn’t make it,” the mother said. “poor guy, he couldn’t have been more than six months old.” -

Thanks to the tireless work of countless dedicated animal activists, conducting any kind of animal fighting is now a federal offense. This is a great milestone for animal advocacy; however, animal fights still occur and there are people who are still willing to attend them. That’s why we need comprehensive legislation that would also punish those who attend animal fighting events.
The Animal Fighting Spectator Prohibition Act of 2011 (H.R. 2492) would make illegal the attendance of any animal fighting event. We need this legislation so that both facilitators and attendees of animal fights are punished. There is no point to making animal fighting illegal if we aren’t also going to eliminate the demand for it.
Please sign the petition in support of H.R. 2492 today! (click the link below the image to go to the campaign page)

Many zoos and circuses today are using inhumane techniques to train their elephants. The methods often involve the use of a bullhook, or a tool used to poke and punish the animals. The bullhook is made of metal and is highly painful to the elephant. The trainer uses the tool to exert pressure on the elephant’s sensitive areas and ultimately coax it into performing.
The use of bullhooks and other training methods that utilize pain or force are inhumane and simply should not be permitted for use anywhere. Though captive, these elephants still have the right to live healthy and comfortable lives without humans torturing them.
Sign the petition asking Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack to prohibit the use of bullhooks along with other force-based techniques when it comes to training circus and zoo animals. (click the link below the image to go to the campaign page)

I drove past one of these on the freeway today. All the sheep were squished in so tight and one of them had his head awkwardly shoved out of the side and as I drove past they all looked so sad and unhappy and there eyes were glazed over and none of them seemed to be making any noises they just stood there like mindless sheep zombies as if they already knew what was going to happen to them. Despite the fact that the sheep couldn’t hear/understand me I still wound down my window and yelled “ITS OKAY LITTLE SHEEPIES YOUR GOING TO BE IN HEAVEN SOON AND IM SORRY YOUR STUCK IN THAT TRUCK AND JAMMED IN SO TIGHT, ITS A CRUEL WORLD AND IM SORRY HUMANS ARENT NICER. I WOULD SAVE YOU ALL IF I COULD!!”
Call me a complete nut case but I actually felt as if I needed to reassure those poor sheep…. It makes me SICK yet there is nothing I can single handedly do to stop it…
WAH :(
